Student-friendly controls: coding labs now include visible Run, Stop, Terminal, Preview, Open App and Help controls inside the editor. The terminal opens automatically, so beginners do not need to search for it.

My sessions

Open, extend or end your disposable environments.

Sessions use the lease policy assigned to your account/workspace. Near expiry, this portal can ask whether you want more time. If you do nothing, the session expires automatically and its disposable data is removed.

Student help

The platform is designed so a learner can start without knowing terminal commands.

Launch

Choose Python, HTML, PHP, Java or another workspace. A fresh disposable environment opens in your browser.

Edit

Starter files are already there. Change the sample code instead of starting from an empty screen.

Run

Click Run for code, Preview for HTML/PHP, or Open App for a web server port. Output appears in the terminal.

Leave safely

Extend the session if you need more time. When it ends, the disposable files, packages and local state are removed.

Buttons inside coding labs

▶ RunRuns the current Python, PHP, JavaScript, Java, Go, Ruby, C/C++ or shell file.

■ StopStops the active run, useful for loops or a program that does not finish.

>_ TerminalOpens the command line immediately. It is also shown automatically on startup.

🌐 PreviewStarts and opens HTML/PHP practice sites automatically.

↗ Open AppOpens a local web app port such as 3000 or 5000 through code-server's secure forwarding.

Restricted Code Sandbox

For risky or untrusted user-space snippets, use the Restricted Code Sandbox. It has no normal Internet access, strict CPU/RAM/process limits, dropped Linux capabilities, disposable storage and a short automatic Run timeout.

Isolation boundary: the current single-host Docker sandbox is not a malware detonation lab and is not suitable for ransomware, kernel exploits, container escapes or code designed to attack infrastructure. Those workloads belong on the planned gVisor/microVM/VM backend.

Create accounts and manage each user’s session limits. Administrator accounts are quota-unlimited.
